SHPs

Clean power sources

Small Hyroelectric Plants (SHPs) are plants that generate electricity using hydropower with an installed capacity of over 5MW and lower than or equal to 30MW, in addition to a reservoir measuring under 13 km².

Generally located close to a point of consumption and integrated into the regional electricity grid, these clean and distributed energy sources improve supply stability and security, in addition to generating savings through reduced transmission loss.
